Download, install and run Wondershare SafeEraser for Mac on your iMac, MacBook Pro or MacBook Air. Use a USB cable to connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with your Mac. You can see the program will detect your device automatically.

When your device is detected, you can see its information in the window.

Step 1. Click "Express Cleanup" in the left sidebar. From the window on the right, you will see how many days have passed since the last time you cleaned your device and how much space was reclaimed.

Step 2. Click the "Start" button at the bottom right to scan your device for junk files. After the scan is completed, the total amount of junk files is displayed and the amount for each type of junk file is displayed too.

You can click the number to check out the details for each type of the junk files respectively.

Step 3. Check unwanted junk file types and click "Erase now" to clean junk files from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. After then, in a new pop-up window, the cleanup result will be displayed.

By clearing junk files, you'll save space on your devices for new apps and other items.

Step 1. Click "Photo Compressor " in the left sidebar. Click "Start Scan" to let the program scan your iPhone, iPad or iPod for large photos in the Photo Compressor window. It take a few seconds to finish the scan.

Step 2. After the scan, all large photos will be displayed in the window. And from the window, you can see that how much space you're going to save by compressing all these photos. Check photos you want to compress.

In this scan result window, you can see the "Backup path". It is the destination where all your original photos will be saved (before compressing all your large photos, SafeEraser will make backup for you in case you need them in the future). You can click it to customize your down destination to save the photos on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

Step 3. Click "Compress now" to let Wondershare SafeEraser compress photos on your device for you. It only lasts a few seconds. In the result window, you'll get how much space you've saved by compressing photos and how much space left for current photos.

Never worry about the quality of the compressed photos. There isn't any difference between the original photo and the compressed one visually.

Step 1. Click "Uninstall App Eliminator" in the left sidebar. It will help you scan and uninstall apps that you haven't used for 30 days. In the right side of the window, click "Start Scan".

Step 2. It only takes you 5 seconds at most to finish the scan process.

Step 3. In the result window, apps that haven't been used for 30 days will be displayed.

Step 4. Check the app that you will never use any more and click "Uninstall". Please note that the app may contain some of your important files. Once you uninstall the app, the data in the app will be removed together.

Step 5. After uninstalling an app, in the result page, it will tells you how much space you have saved for your device.

It's a good choice to uninstall unused apps. It saves you space. When you need to uninstalled apps back again, you can go to the App Store, find Purchased. From there, you can download and install them again.
